Enverus finds common ground in Project Forest

Supporting the Siksika Nation Community Shelterbelt Program embodies company’s mission of powering the global quality of life

byEnverus

CALGARY, Alberta (Sep. 26, 2024) — Enverus, the most trusted energy-dedicated SaaS company that leverages generative AI across its solutions, announced today that it was partnering in Project Forest to support the Siksika Nation Community Shelterbelt Program.

As a part of the effort, Enverus employees have committed to planting 2,000 shelterbelts trees in residential and agricultural indigenous lands, adding to the area’s environmental sustainability and community health.

“At Enverus, our mission and work are committed to powering the global quality of life,” said Manuj Nikhanj, CEO of Enverus and one of today’s participants. “Every player in the energy value chain has a role, and we believe we are partners for life with our customers. We listen intently to the needs of our partners, both internally and externally. We passionately take on challenges; and our focus is on fresh ideas and solutions that promise to deliver the highest levels of quality, service and value. We do our best, and we push each other to be better along the way. I believe today embodies every element of that core value.”

“As Canadians approach National Truth and Reconciliation Day, Enverus is reminded of the power of partnerships in rebuilding our society. This project is not just about planting trees; it’s about honoring the resilience and strength of Indigenous communities,” Nikhanj said.

As a part of its commitment to sustainability, Enverus is striving to reduce the effects of climate change while honoring the resilience, dignity and strength of Indigenous communities. The shelterbelt program will provide clean air and enhance the distribution of trees, significantly improving the local environment and the health of Nation members.

While the shelterbelt program supports clean air and provides access to the many benefits of trees, it’s also a step towards a healthier environment and community.
