Victor Laurent is the head of Data Products in Energy & Commodities at Parameta Solutions, the data arm of TP ICAP Group. He joined TP ICAP in 2024, drawing on more than a decade of experience in energy markets, trading, and data. Before joining the business, Victor was a cross-commodity trader at Vattenfall and the Head of Power Solutions at Wood Mackenzie. He started his career on the trade-floor, where he built fundamental and proprietary trading strategies, as well as the algorithmic trading division of the cross-commodities desk. He later moved on to bring his market knowledge to build energy & renewables products at Wood Mackenzie. The suite of products he managed still help industry participants build data driven insights and facilitate decision-making.
