How resilient will energy consumers be to this new price environment as macroeconomic headwinds intensify? Are we setting up for a new down cycle? Or could stagflation develop, whereby energy prices stay high even as economic growth falters? Fractures in the global order triggered by the Ukraine war and the post-COVID recovery have drawn attention to fragile supply chains, dependent on traded energy.
