Vice President of Policy & Carbon Markets, Entropy Inc.
Erik Petursson, Vice President of Policy and Carbon Markets at Entropy, is focused on working with stakeholders including federal, provincial and municipal levels of government, industrial emitters, and participants in carbon markets to help shape a productive and economic emissions reduction industry. Entropy is a full-service carbon capture developer who's purposes it to provide emissions reduction solutions through carbon capture on hard to abate sectors at industrial scale. Entropy has attracted $500 million in capital from Brookfield Renewable and the Canada Growth Fund as well as $1 billion in contracted carbon offset commitments to underwrite the investment in carbon capture projects on third party emissions sites. Entropy has deployed its patented technology at the world's first commercial carbon capture and sequestration project on post-combustion emissions from natural gas burning engines at the Glacier natural gas plant in Alberta, Canada. In addition, Entropy is engaged in ongoing research and engineering on carbon capture applications for other emissions sources including industrial boilers, steam generators and turbines.
