Africa has become a focal point for upstream expansion, attracting nearly half of recent global country entries and re-entries as companies compete for access to prospective acreage. Enverus has tracked 187 completed or pending entries into new country markets since 2025, with Africa accounting for roughly half of that activity.
Join the Enverus Intelligence® Research team for a one-hour discussion on where international operators are building positions, which African markets are attracting the most interest and how to distinguish early-stage acreage access from firm exploration commitments.
Why Attend
Africa’s current licensing wave is creating both opportunity and uncertainty for international operators. Rising block awards do not automatically translate into near-term drilling, and many early-stage agreements are designed to help operators screen acreage before committing significant capital.
Attend to understand where competition is intensifying, which operators are making meaningful commitments and where future license conversions, relinquishments and acreage recycling may create new opportunities.
