Well Spacing: A New Tool for Rigorous Analysis of Parent-Child Distances
Explore DI Transform’s latest and greatest Well Spacing tool, a critical step on the way to a fulsome well interference workflow. Using a study area in the Williston Basin, we will take a look at various options in calculating well spacing, including: full search radius, horizontal and vertical search, multiple- vs. single-wellbore measurements, search angle, and date dependence. We will then examine outputs such as wellbore coverage, distance measurements, and potential interference days, identify primary and secondary parents, and QC our results using an intuitive map-based display.
