At the Brink: Supply Risk or Recession?

Ian specializes in asset characterization and financial modeling, with a focus on offshore and international plays and the companies pursuing those opportunities. In addition to frequent research notes, Ian delivers conference presentations, television interviews and advisory mandates for corporate and institutional clients. Prior to joining Enverus (RS Energy), Ian progressed through a variety of field and development engineering roles at Canadian Natural Resources, including developing and executing drilling programs in Western Canada, evaluating acquisitions, estimating reserves, designing completions, and optimizing production. Ian is a CFA charterholder and a registered professional engineer in Alberta. He holds bachelor degrees in engineering physics and applied economics from Queen’s University and an MBA from IESE Business School.

Chetan joined Enverus in 2020 with the aquisition of RS Energy Group after earning a master’s degree in economics from the University of Calgary. He previously worked as an intern at Husky Energy where he conducted M&A analysis and company valuations. Chetan is part of the Macro Intelligence team and researches the drivers of global oil demand.

Bill leads international energy policy and geopolitical research at Enverus, following its acquisition of RS Energy Group in February 2020. RSEG acquired Petroleum Policy Intelligence (PPI), which Bill founded in 2010. Bill has 25 years experience in the energy industry, working both as a consultant and industry journalist focused on MENA energy and politics. Before establishing PPI, he led oil research at Medley Global Advisors. He has held senior correspondent and editorial posts with international news wires including Knight-Ridder Financial News (latterly Bridge News) and Agence France-Presse. He edited the Cyprus-based Middle East Economic Survey (MEES). He is a graduate of the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at the University of London.
