Manuj Nikhanj

Co-President, Oil & Gas Analytics

Manuj is the Co-President of Oil and Gas Analytics at Enverus and shares responsibility with Jim Jarrell for running all facets of the business. Prior to joining the Enverus, he was the President and Co-CEO of RS Energy. Over the last 17 years he has completed several hundred evaluations of public and private producers, plays and assets. Manuj has served as a trusted advisor for multiple company boards and executive teams around strategy and execution on new and existing assets. Prior to RS Energy Group, Manuj was Co-Head of Energy Research at ITG, which in 2011 acquired the Ross Smith Energy Group where Manuj was a partner. He obtained his bachelor of commerce degree (with distinction) from the University of Calgary and is a CFA and FRM charterholder.

Jim Jarrell

Co-President, Oil & Gas Analytics

Jim, a licensed Professional Engineer (P. Eng.), graduated from Queen’s University in geological engineering in 1982 and was hired by Texaco Canada Resources Ltd. He spent seven years with Texaco, first as a production engineer in the Pembina oil field then as a reservoir engineer. Jim became a qualified reserves evaluator for Texaco Inc. in 1986. After Texaco was purchased by Imperial Oil in 1989, he moved to Coles Gilbert Associates Ltd. (now GLJ Petroleum Consultants) as an evaluation engineer where he was a partner of the firm for six years. Jim joined Gardiner Oil and Gas Limited as its western district engineer in 1996. Following the sale of the company a year later, Jim co-founded Gardiner Exploration Ltd., which was bought by Cypress Energy Ltd. in May 1999. Jim joined and became a partner of the Ross Smith Energy Group in June of 1999 and became president in 2002. RSEG was acquired by ITG Investment Research in 2011 where Jim co-headed energy research. Before joining Enverus, he was co-President and co-CEO of RS Energy Group, along with Manuj Nikhanj.

Trevor Sloan

Executive Director, Co-head of Intelligence

Trevor has been analyzing the energy industry for nearly two decades, signing on with Enverus (formerly RS Energy) in July 2003 after working three years as an economist at the Canadian Energy Research Institute. He graduated from the University of Calgary in 2000, earning a bachelor of arts degree (with distinction) in applied energy economics. Trevor is responsible for asset characterization and financial modeling, primarily focusing on U.S. plays and companies. A frequent presenter at industry conferences, he also regularly manages advisory projects involving corporate and asset level valuation.

Gibson Scott

Executive Director, Co-head of Intelligence

Gibson oversees rapidly growing teams of analysts, engineers, data scientists and others that use advanced analytics to provide intelligence solutions and investable insights to institutional and corporate clients. Gibson has been heavily involved in advisory mandates and equity research focused on unconventional oil and gas plays. Gibson joined Enverus (formerly RSEG) in 2004 after graduating from the University of Western Ontario with a bachelor’s degree in administrative and commercial studies. He earned his CFA charter in 2009.

Judith specializes in energy commodity analyses and forecasting, and in-depth evaluations on market conditions and related impacts and issues. Prior to joining the firm, Judith was senior vice president with the Canadian Energy Research Institute, where she directed the research program on domestic and international crude oil, and conference and training divisions.
Al Salazar

Vice President – Intelligence

Al has 20 years of experience in the energy industry with EnCana/Cenovus, Suncor and RS Energy. His 15 years at EnCana/Cenovus were focused on the fundamental analysis of oil, natural gas and power for the purposes of forecasting, hedging and forming corporate strategy. He also examined renewable energy during his time at Suncor. Al is currently responsible for analyzing the fundamental drivers of energy demand and potentially disruptive technologies. Al graduated from the University of Calgary in 2000, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Applied Energy Economics and from Syracuse University in 2007 (graduating in the top 10% of his class) with a Masters of Business Administration.

Bill Farren-Price

Director, Macro Research

Bill Farren-Price, Director Macro Research (Enverus) Bill leads international energy policy and geopolitical research at Enverus, following its acquisition of RS Energy Group in February 2020. RSEG acquired Petroleum Policy Intelligence (PPI), which Bill founded in 2010. Bill has 25 years experience in the energy industry, working both as a consultant and industry journalist focused on MENA energy and politics. Before establishing PPI, he led oil research at Medley Global Advisors. He has held senior correspondent and editorial posts with international news wires including Knight-Ridder Financial News (latterly Bridge News) and Agence France-Presse. He edited the Cyprus-based Middle East Economic Survey (MEES). He is a graduate of the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at the University of London.

She graduated from Rice University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematical economics.

Keaton graduated from the University of Alberta with honours with a degree in petroleum engineering. He completed internships at Canadian Natural Resources and Nexen before joining RSEG in 2019. Keaton is on the Global Energy Intelligence team where he focuses on international asset characterization and valuation in the context of the global energy landscape.

Thomas Kirk-Pearson

Senior Associate

Thomas joined Enverus in 2018, after obtaining his Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Finance with Distinction from the University of Alberta. As a member of the Gas Macro team, Thomas is responsible for tracking natural gas supply and demand trends in both the western L48 and Canada. Thomas has completed the 3 level of the CFA program.

 

Alex Ljubojevic

Director

Alex joined Enverus (formerly RSEG) in 2013 and he brought four years of sell-side institutional equity research experience working at various Canadian financial institutions including TD Securities and Scotia Capital. He graduated in 2007 from the University of Lethbridge with a Bachelor of Management with a concentration in finance. Alex leads Enverus’s Lower 48 Natural Gas asset intelligence team with a specialization on the Marcellus and Utica shales. He also has worked on numerous private mandates for our institutional and corporate clients.

Principal Consultant II

Annie Shen is a principal consultant with Enverus, working in the oil and gas analytics division. Her expertise is in conceptualizing and implementing advanced analytics-based solutions to optimize upstream oil and gas operations. She advises and trains clients across the world on a range of topics, including drilling and completions, production modeling and forecasting, and minerals management.   Prior to joining Enverus, Annie worked at Schlumberger in technical, commercial, and project management roles, delivering end-to-end downhole completion and reservoir monitoring solutions and managing a cross functional safety team of 30+. She holds a bachelor’s in petroleum engineering and an MBA, both from the University of Oklahoma.

Technical Advisor | Team Lead

Brandon Guttery joined Enverus as a Technical Advisor in early 2017, and currently serves as Team Lead for the Technical Advisors. In his current position, his interests in geology and large geological datasets allow him to work with customers to help deliver data-driven solutions. Prior to joining Enverus, Brandon served as an exploration geologist for multiple independent E&P companies where he primarily focused on oil and gas exploration in the Mid-Continent and Rocky Mountain regions. After his time as an exploration geologist, he performed geological evaluations on oil and gas assets being offered for sale by the Oil & Gas Asset Clearinghouse. Brandon received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Geology from the University of Oklahoma in 2010 and 2012 respectively. He currently resides in Katy, TX with his wife and three children.

David gained exploration experience within the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin through his honors thesis project at the University of Calgary and a project at Canadian Natural Resources Limited. Prior to joining RSEG, David worked as a G.I.T. with Repsol on a liquids rich Montney asset.

Ryan joined RSEG in 2016 after graduating with distinction from the University of Victoria and earning a bachelor’s of science economics degree, with a business minor specializing in finance. Ryan is Vice President on the Commercial Intelligence team and leads Enverus’s SMID-Cap valuations.

Brandon Guttery joined Enverus as a Technical Advisor in early 2017, and currently serves as Team Lead for the Technical Advisors. In his current position, his interests in geology and large geological datasets allow him to work with customers to help deliver data-driven solutions. Prior to joining Enverus, Brandon served as an exploration geologist for multiple independent E&P companies where he primarily focused on oil and gas exploration in the Mid-Continent and Rocky Mountain regions. After his time as an exploration geologist, he performed geological evaluations on oil and gas assets being offered for sale by the Oil & Gas Asset Clearinghouse. Brandon received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Geology from the University of Oklahoma in 2010 and 2012 respectively. Dane Gregoris

Director

Dane joined RSEG/Enverus in 2014. His previous work experience includes positions at GLJ Petroleum Consultants and Encana. Dane leads the Commercial Intelligence team and has worked on numerous private mandates for our institutional and corporate clients He is also is a regular presenter to executive audiences and at industry conferences. Dane graduated from Queen’s University with a degree in geological engineering and is a CFA charterholder.

 

Ryan Luther

Vice President

Ryan joined RSEG in 2016 after graduating with distinction from the University of Victoria and earning a bachelor’s of science economics degree, with a business minor specializing in finance. Ryan is Vice President on the Commercial Intelligence team and leads Enverus’s SMID-Cap valuations.

 

Nick Volkmer

Vice President

Nick joined RS Energy Group in 2015 after graduating from Queen’s University with a degree in engineering chemistry. He focuses on onshore US asset valuation and optimization, leading the Gulf Coast research team until the Enverus acquisition. Now, he leads the GHG and renewables team to help clients navigate more carbon-focused investments. He earned is CFA charter in 2019.

 

Oma Wilkie

Vice President

Oma earned a Mechanical Engineering degree from Queen’s University and started his career working at Nexen and Devon before joining RS Energy Group, now Enverus. Oma leads the Offshore Intelligence team and covers equities, basin level trends across the space. He also contributes to Enverus’ analysis of renewable energy. He is a CFA Charterholder and holds a Professional Engineering designation.

Co-Head, Commercial Intelligence

Andy leads product development and covers large-cap E&P companies for the Commercial Intelligence offering. He joined Enverus in 2019 to develop the Operator Intelligence product – a predecessor to Commercial Intelligence that features valuation, trend, and benchmarking analysis for over 200 US E&Ps. Prior to joining Enverus, Andy worked as an analyst for energy-analytics and E&P businesses for a decade. He is based in Houston, Texas.

 

Shawn Stuart

Sr. Associate

Shawn joined RSEG in 2018 and is part of the Commercial Intelligence team. He focuses on company valuations, comparative analysis and financial modeling across the E&P sector. Shawn graduated with a bachelor’s degree in managerial economics from Union College in Schenectady, New York, in 2013.

 

Shreya Lodha

Sr. Research Associate

Shreya joined the Commercial Team at RSEG in June 2019 and focuses on Gas E&P names. Prior to this, she worked as a Business Analyst in the Supply Chain department at TC Energy. She graduated from the University of Calgary with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and earned her CFA charter in 2019.

 

Shak Ahmed

Sr. Associate

Shak joined Enverus through the acquisition of RS Energy Group and has been with the company since 2016. He is part of the Commercial Intelligence team, leading its midstream coverage and previously led the Mid-Continent team. Outside of Enverus, Shak previously worked on the corporate development team at Lundin Mining and Harvest Portfolios Group. He graduated from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) and is a CFA Charterholder.

 

Amber McCullagh

Amber joined RS Energy Group in January 2019 with 10 years of experience developing and directing research and products covering North American gas and LNG markets. Amber is experienced in developing and presenting tactical and strategic advice to executives and directors at numerous producers, midstream companies and consumers. She graduated from Rice University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematical economics.

Annie Shen

Principal Consultant II

Annie Shen is a principal consultant with Enverus, working in the oil and gas analytics division. Her expertise is in conceptualizing and implementing advanced analytics-based solutions to optimize upstream oil and gas operations. She advises and trains clients across the world on a range of topics, including drilling and completions, production modeling and forecasting, and minerals management.   Prior to joining Enverus, Annie worked at Schlumberger in technical, commercial, and project management roles, delivering end-to-end downhole completion and reservoir monitoring solutions and managing a cross functional safety team of 30+. She holds a bachelor’s in petroleum engineering and an MBA, both from the University of Oklahoma.

Brandon Guttery

Technical Advisor | Team Lead

Brandon Guttery joined Enverus as a Technical Advisor in early 2017, and currently serves as Team Lead for the Technical Advisors. In his current position, his interests in geology and large geological datasets allow him to work with customers to help deliver data-driven solutions. Prior to joining Enverus, Brandon served as an exploration geologist for multiple independent E&P companies where he primarily focused on oil and gas exploration in the Mid-Continent and Rocky Mountain regions. After his time as an exploration geologist, he performed geological evaluations on oil and gas assets being offered for sale by the Oil & Gas Asset Clearinghouse. Brandon received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Geology from the University of Oklahoma in 2010 and 2012 respectively. He currently resides in Katy, TX with his wife and three children.
