Pulling Back the Curtain

August 11, 2020 | 2:00 – 3:00 PM Central

Session Details
Join Enverus for a discussion of the current market & uncover the reasons behind what is happening on the ground.
Senior Director of Energy Analytics Strategy & Analytics, Sarp Ozkan will uncover:

What it means and why?
A key driver of US production growth during the shale boom has been productivity gains. However, the pace of productivity gains has slowed (and, in some case, even degraded).

Where are the DUCs? How productive will they be?
As prices crashed during this COVID-induced demand slump, operators slowed and halted completions, and even shut-in wells. Despite the slump rig counts didn’t go to zero and the DUC inventory has built considerably.

Which areas of the country make sense at different prices per barrel, and what companies are operating there?
Recovery continues. The areas/operators with acreage in sweet spots have the most to gain.
Knowing that the capital constraints are real, could there be opportunities waiting on your doorstep? Enverus is here to answer the hard questions and ensure you don’t miss an opportunity.

Update on Upstream M&A: Will Chevron’s Acquisition of Noble Shock the Market Back to Life?

August 19, 2020 | 1:00 – 2:00 PM Central

Session Details
In the first half of 2020, upstream M&A tumbled to historic lows as COVID-19 piled onto an already shaky market. In the U.S., barely $3 billion was transacted through Q1 and Q2 combined in a nearly unprecedented scarcity of M&A. Now in the second half of the year, there is finally a marquee deal as Chevron agrees to acquire Noble Energy for $13 billion.
Join Enverus Senior Analyst Andrew Dittmar for a review of the current state of the M&A market, the key drivers of Chevron’s deal to buy Noble, and why this doesn’t necessarily signal a broader wave of deals in the near future.

Subsurface Impacts on Permian Well and Spacing Designs

August 20, 2020 | 1:00 – 2:00 PM Central

Session Details
Let’s dig deeply into the evolution of Permian well design, completion engineering, and vertical/horizontal inter-well spacing, including how geological heterogeneity should impact development planning. While single-zone development results in the most economic wells, this strategy can impair future inventory in adjacent intervals. We’ll illustrate how Enverus’ solutions rapidly identify areas of risk and opportunity by defining flow units for both basins and highlight where operators are most at risk for future across-zone parent-child and down spacing degradation.

This Time It’s Different

August 20, 2020 | 3:00 – 4:00 PM Central

Session Details

Oil and gas companies can’t just dust off the 2014 playbook and pull the traditional levers to overcome the current climate. This time it’s different — the long-term trend towards decarbonization and decreased demand are keeping oil prices down, and the lack of capital and changing investor mindsets are driving decisions.

On August 20 at 3 PM CST, hear from well-known private equity investors from Apollo, Encap and Quantum, as well as Enverus global gas market director Jen Snyder, discuss the current state of the market and what the future holds.
