Not All Zones Are Created Equal

Q: When will the migration happen?

A: The new Market Research platform will launch in early March and we will start migrating customers as soon as it is available and continue throughout the month. We plan for it to be complete by the end of the month.

Q: How is the upgrade being communicated?

A: Customers will receive in-app messaging and emails with announcements as the upgrade progresses. In some cases, you may get a phone call.

Q: What platform is my solution migrating to?

A: All solutions are migrating from their current platforms to a next generation DI built platform.

Q: Who is affected by the migration?

A: All users of the PLS and 1Derrick M&A Database, 1Derrick’s U.S. Onshore Maps Database, and 1Derrick’s IntelBytes Database will be affected.

Q: Will the new platform require any training or be difficult to learn?

A: The new platform is designed to look and feel similar to the current platform. There will be new features which will be intuitive to learn. To help facilitate the transition we will schedule trainings as well as have instructional videos for new features.

Q: Will there be any interruption in my service?

A: There will be no interruption to your service.

A: The new features are as follows:

Q: Will any of my data or current features be removed?

A: All data will remain. Ninety-nine percent of the current features will migrate to the new platform. Features such as Report Pivots that were not used, will be removed, but alternatives will be available.

Q: Does the platform upgrade cost me anything?

A: No. The platform will not cost you anything.

Q: What is the back-up plan for my data and information?

A: Your personal data is never stored by Drillinginfo. The data in the M&A database itself may see some changes on a few U.S. deals. We will keep a back-up of such data to be provided upon your request.

Q: What if I don’t want to upgrade?

A: This is a platform migration as a result of which the current/old platform will be sunset. As such, all users will be migrated to the new platform. Since the platform is designed to be similar to the current platform, you should not see any changes in your workflow.

Q: Will I still have access to my previous solution platform?

A: The platform you’re using will be upgraded to the new platform. It will maintain the workflows that you’re used to while providing substantially more value.
