Join Drillinginfo at URTeC

July 22 – 24, 2019   |   Booth #822  |  Denver, CO

About the Event

Stop by booth #822 to see solutions that help engineers and geoscientists quickly and easily evaluate geology, identify drilling sweet spots, calculate and determine the impacts of well spacing, and provide confident recommendations. Our experts are onsite and available to help you evaluate your area-of-interest and show you our newest well spacing solution which pre-calculates every horizontal well in the L48 as either the parent or child.

URTeC Technical Sessions

Join our Drillinginfo experts, Akash Sharma and Patrick Rutty, during the URTeC Technical Program on Wednesday, July 24th.

An Integrated Data-driven Approach to Quantify Oilfield Water Lifecycle And Economics in the Permian Basin

Panel: Data Analytics Update for Unconventionals – What’s Missing?

Join us in booth #822 to hear from our industry experts on the latest trends and solutions during the event.

Spacing Trends in the Permian and Their Impact on Well Performance
Brendan Nealon, Analyst

Monday 10:30am, 2:00pm, 5:30pm | Tuesday 11:30am, 3:00pm | Wednesday 10:00am

Well spacing in the Permian has been a hot button issue over the past couple of years as entry prices in the basin skyrocket and operators look to optimize their well performance and development plans. Join us to analyze spacing trends and show how parent-child relationships affect well productivity in the Permian over time and compared to the Eagle Ford using DI’s new Spacing Analytics platform. We will focus in on two operators within the play, compare how they have developed their wells over time and how their production has been impacted by these changes.

Using Machine Learning to Predict Landing Zones for Better Well Analysis
Jordan Alexander, Geologist

Monday 11:00am, 2:30pm, 6:00pm | Tuesday 12:00pm, 3:30pm | Wednesday 10:30am

Join us to discuss challenges using current methodologies that require a digitized survey and how to utilize a machine learning approach, with an emphasis on solid foundation of training data. We will also review result metrics including accuracy and coverage.

Multivariate Analysis of Fluid and Proppant Impact on Parent and Child Wells in the Williston Basin: Optimizing Remaining Locations
Patrick Rutty, Director of Technical Sales & Consulting / Sr. Product Manager, Transform

Monday 11:30am, 3:00pm, 6:30pm | Tuesday 12:30pm, 4:00pm | Wednesday 11:00am

Join us to study a densely drilled area in Mountrail County, North Dakota, in order to: 1) calculate a time-dependent depletion metric for each horizontal wellbore, 2) use well spacing and depletion metrics to assign wells to parent and child groups, and 3) use multivariate analysis to quantify the independent impacts of fluid and proppant on each group of wells.

The Permian Basin. Does it get much better than this?
Jeremy Hornell, Technical Advisor

Monday 12:00pm, 3:30pm | Tuesday 9:30am, 1:00pm, 4:30pm | Wednesday 11:30am

While the Permian basin boasts top tier production and excellent stack potential, how does the top acreage from other plays in the Lower 48 compare? We’ll provide a comprehensive analysis focusing on potential of proven geologic formations, comparing EURs, economics, completions trends, M&A activity, and how these variables factor into free cash flow between operators within each play.

No Log, No Problem: Using the Advanced Property Estimator (APE) to Interpolate Well Log Data
Brandon Guttery, Technical Advisor

Monday 12:30pm, 4:00pm | Tuesday 10:00am, 1:30pm, 5:00pm | Wednesday 12:00pm

DI Transform’s APE was developed in order to quickly estimate log properties where there are no preexisting well logs. The APE honors structural control and stratigraphic relationships defined by the user and employs a “model abstraction” method that allows for very rapid, detailed estimation and avoids the time, expense, and over-averaging effects of building a 3-D geocellular model. Join us as we highlight the APE’s ability to infill vertical log coverage, estimate logs at pseudo-pilot wells, create logs for horizontal wells (which are typically not logged), and even output log properties as a volume, aiding further petrophysical analysis, multivariate modeling, well planning, and stress modeling.

Exploring Conventional Potential in 2019
Jeb Burleson, Technical Advisor

Monday 1:00pm, 4:30pm | Tuesday 10:30am, 2:00pm, 5:30pm | Wednesday 12:30pm

Resource plays tend to make all the headlines these days, but conventional activity is alive and well! Unconventional M&A activity had a relatively slow start in the first half of 2019, but conventional players are still out there exploring. Take a look at what has been going on in the Conventional world by analyzing recent trends in drilling and M&A across the US, and learn how to dissect opportunities with potential upside.

DI Transform Year in Review: An Even Better G&G Toolset
Nick Tiedemann, Product Manager, DI Transform

Monday 1:30pm, 5:00pm | Tuesday 11:00am, 2:30pm | Wednesday 9:30am

The DI Transform team has been busy making improvements to grant you the best subsurface understanding over the lifecycle of your E&P operations. Join us to review some of the highlights and benefits in DI Transform’s latest updates.
