Well spacing in the Permian has been a hot button issue over the past couple of years as entry prices in the basin skyrocket and operators look to optimize their well performance and development plans. Join us to analyze spacing trends and show how parent-child relationships affect well productivity in the Permian over time and compared to the Eagle Ford using DI’s new Spacing Analytics platform. We will focus in on two operators within the play, compare how they have developed their wells over time and how their production has been impacted by these changes.

No Log, No Problem: Using the Advanced Property Estimator (APE) to Interpolate Well Log Data

DI Transform’s APE was developed in order to quickly estimate log properties where there are no preexisting well logs. The APE honors structural control and stratigraphic relationships defined by the user and employs a “model abstraction” method that allows for very rapid, detailed estimation and avoids the time, expense, and over-averaging effects of building a 3-D geocellular model. Join us as we highlight the APE’s ability to infill vertical log coverage, estimate logs at pseudo-pilot wells, create logs for horizontal wells (which are typically not logged), and even output log properties as a volume, aiding further petrophysical analysis, multivariate modeling, well planning, and stress modeling.
