Austin, TX (April 17, 2017) – Drillinginfo, the leading SaaS and data analytics company for the oil and gas industry, announced today three unique distinctions it has recently received from independent industry publishers and an Austin-based charity.
The official results from the annual Energy Risk Software rankings have concluded and Drillinginfo’s MarketView platform has secured first place for the following data management and data provider categories: Ease of Using System, Preferred System, and Best Customer Service.
Energy Risk’s award process takes into consideration how “energy markets have dramatically changed over the past 12 months and how firms have been forced to adapt their technology systems for new market realities.” In the survey, respondents were asked to vote for their preferred software vendor in a variety of categories.
“Last year, MarketView also swept the data management categories, as well as an additional one in the data provider category,” said Jeff Hughes, Drillinginfo’s CEO & President. “In the minds of global energy and commodity users, Drillinginfo, its data platform, services and people have emerged as the preferred data management solution, in many cases garnering more votes than the rest of its competitors combined.”
In a separate ranking, Drillinginfo was also listed as one of the best oil and gas blogs on the planet by Feedspot.com. The blog ranking drew from the following criteria: Google reputation and Google search ranking; influence and popularity on Facebook; Twitter and other social media sites; quality and consistency of posts; and Feedspot’s editorial team and expert review.
These industry distinctions follow a recent charitable recognition by Amplify Austin whereby Drillinginfo once again earned the top “Business Fundraiser” for the fifth year in a row. Drillinginfo led all other participating companies with $106,208.17 in donations and 100 percent of employees again making contributions this year to the Stretch Fund that benefits all participating charities.
“Austin is Drillinginfo’s home base and our company and its employees continue to be deeply ingrained in this unique city,” said Allen Gilmer, Co-founder, Chairman of Drillinginfo. “As the saying goes, we live here, we give here,” said Allen. The 2017 Amplify Austin event helped the non-profit raise more than $9.9 million for charitable organizations in the Austin community.
