Whiting picked up another 90,174 net acres (111,966 gross) in leasehold in Montana for prospective Bakken and Three Forks activity. The Williston Basin properties were purchase from an undisclosed seller and are located in Roosevelt and Sheridan Counties in what Whiting now calls their Starbuck Prospect Area. Second to only their Lewis & Clark area, which is 225,685 net acres (340,241 gross) the Starbuck area is one of their largest prospect areas and is 100% undeveloped.
The following is a slide from Whiting’s September 2010 presentation that lists their acreage in the Bakken/Three Forks area.
The follow map is Whiting’s Bakken/Three Forks drilling permits. I have also outlined the Company’s major prospect areas to show where the areas are in relation to each other.

I presently am employed with Perennial Energy Inc. who is involved in methane gas recovery and using this technology to fuel Cat generators. I was previously employed by Canrig Drilling technology and then Nabors Drilling. I understand the cost of diesel to run the rig generators 24/7, we at Perennial Energy have a solution that could possibly save you 80% on your fuel bill by combining well gas, which presently is being burnt off using a flare system, and diesel. Our skids can be made portable so on rig moves you can take it to the next drill site. I wish to speak with someone who would be interested in the savings we could offer you.
