Quicksilver recently released their fourth quarter and year-end 2009 results that include their operational update for the Barnett Shale play. In the fourth quarter of 2009 they drilled 32 (26 net) operated wells which brought their 2009 total to 119 (92.2 net) operated wells. The company currently holds 165,000 net acres in the Barnett Shale, has roughly 150 drilled wells to be completed and is producing around 250 MMcfe/d in the play. In 2010, according to their earnings conference call, they will go from 5 rigs to 4 rigs in the play but still plan to drill approximately 100 operated wells and complete approximately 130 operated wells.
