The Eagle Ford burst onto the scene at the end of 2008 with Petrohawks announcement of the Hawkville Field discovery. Since then they have drilled well over 20 wells in the field and have been joined by others. Hawkville is centered in La Salle and McMullen counties. Below are two maps of 21 Hawkville wells in which Drilling Info has production data. The first is colored by company. The second is colored by cumulative produced gas, and bubbled by Prac IP (2nd month production). (click on the maps to enlarge)
Here is a map of Hawkville field permits filed in the last 60 days.
Hawkville field is the hottest part of the Eagle Ford Shale play right now. As more production data becomes available in the coming months, Drilling Info – Energy Strategy Partners will be analyzing all things Eagle Ford including permit and production trends, production stream profiles, and operator learning curves. Check out the DNA Eagle Ford Unconventional Update Project for all the latest.
