There is a pretty impressive Eagle Ford Shale well out in Dewitt County we have had our eye on operated by one Geosouthern Energy. It is the Krause #1H, it recently Prac IPed (Drillinginfo jargon for 2nd month production) at 917 BOPD and 3.357 MMcf/d. This does not include NGLs if they are present and being processed. This well came online with no fanfare, until yesterday at the Howard Weil Energy Conference when Petrohawk announced its Black Hawk prospect in Dewitt County. It turns out that Petrohawk is operating these Geosouthern Energy Eagle Ford wells with a 66% WI. They control 53,000 net acres in the area and estimate completed well costs of $6.5MM. They are currently frac’ing the Lanik #1H and are drilling three other wells in the area. Below is the map with this activity.
The EUR is currently 500-750 MBoe. It is interesting to note that Petrohawk describes these liquids as condensate and not oil. For up to date Petrohawk Hawkville, Red Hawk and Black Hawk information check out our Eagle Ford Unconventional Update available to all DI users.
