Hats off to XTO for permitting a 3300′ test in Geneva Co, AL (far SE Alabama) on trend with, ahem, not much that we can see. Could be an eastern extension of shaley facies in the Conecuh embayment, but there’s so little well control and only 3 reasonably close by 2D seismic lines that all we can do is flat out guess. But good luck to them for drilling in a galaxy far, far away… could get interesting….

As a Georgia native, I am always interested when drilling projects creep towards the state line.
Stay posted, ontherocks…location looks to be outside well-known basins but sooner or later we’ll find out if it’s been offset with other permits or has started producing…
