Drillinginfo International recently launched a new Western Africa Activity Service stretching from Mauritania to Namibia, to supplement its current Western Africa Scouting Services. The service also complements the company’s North Africa Activity Service, which was launched in April 2010.
Drillinginfo International’s VP for Africa, John Balch, stated “This is a very exciting time for oil exploration in Western Africa. Successful Pre-salt wells in the ultra deep waters off Angola will undoubtedly generate interest in similar plays in Angola as well as Congo, Gabon and even Namibia. In the northern margin of the Gulf of Guinea region successes offshore Ghana and Sierra Leone have significantly de-risked an Upper Cretaceous turbidite sands trend which extends over 1500 km and across six countries.”
Drillinginfo International’s Activity Report provides subscribers with a weekly summary and analysis of current, planned, and historical E&P activities. International Activity Reports cover a wide range of activities including:
- Drilling Activity
- Licensing and Contractual Affairs
- Geological and Geophysical Operations
- Field Operations
Reports are updated weekly and feature data files for download and links to preloaded search results in Live Map. Features include maps of updated activity in PowerPoint for download, and links to Well Summary Data and Events for Key regional wells.
DrillingInfo International’s Western Africa Activity Reporting Service is available for the following countries and areas in Western Africa: Angola, Benin, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Congo, Cote d’Ivoire, DR Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gambia, Gabon, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Namibia, Niger, Nigeria, Nigeria-Sao Tome & Principe JDZ, Sao Tome & Principe, Senegal, Senegal-Guinea Bissau AGC, Sierra Leone and Togo.
