Drillinginfo forms new business unit and appoints industry veteran as head

Drillinginfo has formed a new business unit to serve the needs of the energy service segment for the upstream oil and gas industry. DI Energy Services Group will provide web-based tools and services to E&P service companies and their sales teams to more rapidly identify prospects based on the events and activities that Drillinginfo monitors and reports daily.

Richard Grant has been appointed to lead the new business unit. Richard has served as Gulf Coast Sales VP for Drillinginfo since 2002. Prior to joining DI, Richard served in a variety of sales and senior management positions in the tubular product sector for the oil and gas industry.

“Richard has a long and successful history in sales and management within the oil and gas industry,” said Allen Gilmer, Drillinginfo Chairman and CEO. “He has had a successful track record at Drillinginfo by building our Houston and Gulf Coast markets. We are confident he will achieve a similar level of success with the new DI ESG business.”

“The new DI ESG business unit will provide high levels of exposure for service providers and DI members leading to mutually beneficial business relationships,” commented Gilmer. “Our original vision of creating a wide spread affinity network of E&P companies and service providers through Drillinginfo has taken a significant step forward.”
