DI Adds Permits in 5 New States

Drillinginfo has released permits for 5 new states. The new states include Arkansas, Mississippi, North Dakota, Utah, and Montana. The data currently available includes permits for all or parts of 2007 through the present for all states except North Dakota which is current for 2008.

“We will continue to backfill this data while maintaining the most up-to-date permit information”, according to Heather Curry, Drillinginfo’s Manager of Products and Services. “Our next planned release for these states is production data, with Arkansas being the first state for which production information will be available. ”

Allen Gilmer, Chairman and CEO of Drillinginfo adds, “Our commitment to our industry is to build out our database of land, well, and regulatory data to reflect the New OilPatch – the areas where the industry has the greatest interest and is making the most substantial investments in on-shore, domestic exploration and production.” “This approach ensures that our members will have a significant advantage in their efforts to generate high returns on their resource investments, and to provide America with the hydorcarbons that it needs to remain secure.”
