The Austin Petroleum Exploration Society (APES) teamed up with the Austin Professional Landmen’s Association (APLA) on Friday, April 29, 2011 for their 4th Annual Oil & Gas Golf Tournament. This was a great time to come out and get to know others in our industry and a wonderful opportunity to help those in need.  Together APES, APLA, and the tournament’s sponsors raised $10,000 for the Capital Area Food Bank. Charlie Ward, COO of the Capital Area Food Bank attended the tournament and accepted the check.

“This will go a long way,” Ward said.

Up from $5,000 donated last year, the tournament and support for its cause is growing exponentially. In fact, next year the tournament will be played on 2 courses to facilitate the number of eager participants.

We would also like to extend our congratulations to Drillinginfo’s tournament raffle winners: JP Flack, Scott Eads, and Reggie Crawford!  Thanks for coming out and playing a round with us!
